Orthopaedic Hospital Medical Magnet Faculty and Staff would like to take a moment to reflect on the tragic death of George Floyd. Our classrooms (and online spaces) serve as a gathering place for much more than education – they help us all recognize, understand and appreciate our differences. We continue our commitment to help our students learn about our country’s long and continuing struggle to live our ideals of liberty and justice for all. To all our African American students and staff: you matter. Black Lives Matter. We are Orthopaedic, and we stand together.

Ortho community, these are the Office Hours that Ortho teachers and staff are available to answer any questions you have in a “live” format. Please click on the teachers’ names to open up the method of communication. In addition, teachers are available during regular school days to respond to Schoology messages and LAUSD emails.

2019 Rankings

Orthopaedic Hospital Medical Magnet is ranked #647 in the National Rankings and earned a Silver ranking. Ortho is ranked #90 in California High Schools, and #35 in Los Angeles. Schools are ranked based on their performance on state-required tests and how well they prepare students for college.

We are proud to announce that Orthopaedic Hospital Medical Magnet was named a 2019 Magnet Schools of America School of Excellence!
